Charles Everett Archie

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Archie, born to James Elzie and Rhoda Ferguson Archie October 13, 1927, announces his passing on November 4, 2018 at the age of 91 years.

Archie was a child of the woods, cultivator of beautiful vegetables and flowers, avid hunter and the Master Repairer of the broken with duct tape and tie wire. Charles loved, and was loved by his wife of 68 years, the late Dolores Ann LeCornu Archie.

Charles owned and operated, with his sons and other family members, Archie Concrete Company. He was a member of the Greenfield, TN Washington Masonic Lodge #159 for 68 years and a member of the Mount Hermon United Methodist Church.

He is survived and loved by his six children, Carla Archie Rollins (Gary), James E. Archie, David Archie (Patti), Mary Ann Archie Childers (Larry), Richard Archie (Annette) and Charlene Archie Grinder (Tim). Charles will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Megan, Makayla,Caitlin, Raegan, Jeremy, Jacob, Michelle, Rachel, Dixie, David, Casey, Carrie, Patrick, Adam and Sam. He was great-grandfather to Rileigh, Ava, Aaron, Bella, Madeline, Abigail, Archie, Stella A., Owen, Blaze, Stella C., Logan and JoJo and brothers Paul Dean Archie (Christine) and Robert W. Archie (Ginger).

He was predeceased by his brother Floyd Elzie Archie, sister Lucille Archie Bradberry (Bobby) and infant brother Eugene Archie.

Funeral services in memory of Charles will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield, TN on November 9th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hermon UMC Cemetery.  Visitation will be held November 8th from 5:00-8:00 pm also at the funeral home.
