The Williams Funeral Home has been established since 1929. It is now in its fourth generation of the Williams Family. Samuel Williams and Early Perry started the funeral home in 1929. The next generation started around 1956 which was James (Jimmy) Benton Williams, Samuel’s son. In 1986, Chris Williams, Jimmy’s son, began the next generation. In July of 2017, Jimmy passed away leaving it in the hands of his family. It is currently owned and operated by Mrs. Patricia Williams*, wife of the late James (Jimmy) Benton Williams, her son, Christopher James Williams, and daughter, Nan Williams Satterfield*. In 2011, Baker James Williams, son of Chris, and in 2013, Caleb Benton Satterfield, son of Nan, became a part of the establishment. Then in 2014, Christopher Haden Williams*, son of Chris, became a part of the establishment. The funeral home then extended its business to Gleason, TN in 2009, Sharon, TN in 2011. Also in 2013, the Weakley County Crematory was established. The main location is still 2209 N. Meridian Street, Greenfield, TN. The four generations are here to serve the public in any way that is helpful to them during their sorrowful time of the death of a loved one.
