Alton E. Tate

Services for Alton E. Tate, age 92, formerly of Gleason, TN will be held Thursday December 19, 2024 at 2pm at the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Gleason. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery also in Gleason. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-7pm at the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. It will resume Thursday at 11am and go until time of his funeral service. Mr. Tate is survived by his wife, Elvonia Tate of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by two daughters, Alta (Matt) Hein of San Antonio, TX and Kim (Steve) Riggs of Dresden, TN, and a brother, Coy Tate of McKenzie, TN. He leaves behind four grandchildren Hudson Hein, Jordan Riggs, Madison Dean, and Aubrey Grace Riggs. Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Lucille Tate, brother, David Tate, and two sisters, Mildred Cooper and Shirley Griffin.
