Dola Mae O'Daniel

Dola Mae O’Daniel, 77, of Dresden, Tennessee, passed away on April 29, 2023 at Volunteer
Hospital of Martin after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and
Allie Martin, one sister Jeanette Jones, and one brother Charles Ray Martin.
Ms. O’Daniel was born on February 13, 1946 in Ridgely, TN. She attended school in Chicago and
married in 1963. She later moved back to Tennessee to be closer to her parents and raise her
children as a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Vicky (Jerry) Ross of Dresden TN;
Charles (Rhonda) Collins of Gleason TN; and Jeff (Jeannie) Collins of Gleason TN. She was
blessed with five grandchildren, Matthew Holt of McKenzie, Mallory Welch of McKenzie, Brittney
Chappell of McKenzie, Caycee Collins of Gleason, and Spencer Collins of Gleason. She was
also blessed with eight great grandchildren. She loved to listen to the Perrys and Jimmy
Swaggart.

Services for Ms. O'Daniel will be held Thursday May 4, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home of Gleason at 11 a.m.; with burial to follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday evening going from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Funeral Home. It will resume Thursday morning at 9 am and go until time of her service.
