Ernest E. Wade

Graveside Service for Ernest E. Wade age 91 of Sharon, TN will be held Friday March 28, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon, TN. Ernest E. “Bill” Wade passed away on March 25, 2025, and is now in his heavenly home. Daddy was born to Oscar and Mima Wade on October 2, 1933. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Jesse Wade; his sister, Betty Newsom; and his beloved son, Trent L. Wade. Daddy married​ the love of his life, Joyce Cross Wade, on October 28, 1956, and they had two children, Trent L. Wade and Trena J. Wade. He retired from Weakley County Municipal Electric System in 1999 after working for 41 years as a plant accountant. Daddy was a long-time member of Sharon First Baptist in Sharon, TN, where he worshipped with his family. Anyone who knew my father knew his love for the Lord. Daddy is survived by my mother Joyce Cross Wade, and me, Trena J. Wade of Brentwood. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cortney Wade of Sharon, Hannah Wade Jackson (Cody) of Trenton, Sarah Wade of Nashville, and Benjamin Wade of Sharon, as well as his great-grandsons, Dylan Wade of Martin, Dalton Wade of Sharon, and Rylan Holdeman of Sharon. Daddy’s surviving siblings are Angie Brewer, Hazel Neblett, Joe Wade, and Kathy Stogsdill.
