Faye Christeen Monroe, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026.
She was born on October 3, 1930, in Greenfield, Tennessee, to the late Clarence and Linnie
Monroe.
Affectionally know as, Teen she worked at the Greenfield Dairy Queen for more than 30
years. Through those years, she touched countless lives and served many ice cream cones.
Even after retiring, she never slowed. During Fair time, she could always be found working
in one of the Pope food booths, happily serving and visiting with friends.
Teen was a lifelong member of the Greenfield Church of Christ, where her faith was evident
in everything she did. She was always looking for ways to serve others and if you were
lucky, you might have received some homemade caramel popcorn or an Angel food cake.
She is survived by her sister, Doris Foster of McKenzie, Tennessee, and many cherished
nieces and nephews who have so many wonderful memories of their time spent with her.
Teen was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Linnie Monroe; her brothers, L.C.
Monroe, Joe Monroe, Billie Monroe, and Sam Monroe; and her sisters, Bernice Dunn and
Alene Smith.
Her life was a testimony of faithfulness, kindness, and devotion to family and community.
Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and service will continue to live on
through the many lives she touched.
Funeral Services for Teen will be held Sunday January 11th at 3 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home.
Burial to follow in Brock's Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will begin Sunday at 1 p.m.
and go until time of her service at the funeral home.
