Helen Joyce Morris

Helen Joyce Morris, age 87 of Gleason, Tennessee, died peacefully at home on January 20, 2026. Joyce was born September 9, 1938 in Benton County to the late William Phillip Berry and Laura Mae Melton Berry. She was co-owner of Gleason Superette where she worked for 60 years, and was a faithful member of Gleason Methodist Church since 1960. She is survived by her children Mike (Sally) Morris of Greenfield, Laurie Morris of Gleason, and Steve Morris of Nashville. She also leaves behind grandchildren Sara (Mark) Jackson, Daniel Morris, and Ava Morris, and great grandchildren Will Morris and Saylor Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Thomas Ray Morris, and her sisters Ernestine (John) Walters and Jean (Weldon) Penny. Services will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Gleason on Friday, January 23 at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from Friday morning at 11:00 and will go until the time of her funeral service.
