James McArthur Allen

James McArthur Allen, 79 of Sharon, TN passed away peacefully at his home in Sidonia, TN of natural causes on 2/21/24.He was born in Detroit, MI on 03/12/1944 to the late James M. Allen and Mamie (Warren) Allen.. James is preceded in death by his parents, brother Damon Allen, sisters Lana Stogner, Teresa Kaiser, Carolyn Allen, Phyllis Sweat, and Rita Graves. James is survived by the love of his life, and devoted wife of 60 years Josephine Allen and 5 children. Christina (Jeff) Laney and Gail Diebold of Martin, TN. Tanya Browne and Billy (Melissa) Allen of Sharon, TN and Joey (Kim) Allen of Danville, VA.

James is also survived by 2 sisters, Brenda Turner and Deborah Allen. twelve grandchildren:  Nickolas Wilkey, Dallas Laney, Amber Malone,  Alex and Logan Diebold, Andrew Allen, Emily Garren, Christopher Trucksis, Lee Roy and Andrew Browne, Brett and Brady Adams. Great grandchildren Kaleigh and Josie Diebold, Lawson Diebold, Cambry Wilkey, M.J. and Amelia Malone.

James worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Union City, TN as a tire builder until he retire in 2008 after 28 years of service.

He will long be remembered as "Mac"  by friends and family, and "Uncle Mac" by multiple nieces,. nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will begin Friday February 23, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield going from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial to follow in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon, TN.
