Michael Mayo Wright

Michael “Mike” Mayo Wright, age 75, of Martin, Tn passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be Monday, March 16, 2026, 1:00 pm at East Side Cemetery in Martin with Bro. Harvel Baker officiating.  Family and friends may assemble in the cemetery at 12:45pm.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Wright Davis; his grandson, Tyler Davis; his granddaughter, Taylor Davis all of Martin.

Mike worked as an off shore tankerman specializing in the safety while loading, transporting and unloading oil, chemicals and fuel on barges and ships.  He was a 1968 graduate of Martin High School and attended The University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a dedicated member of Phi Sigma Alpha fraternity.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4862 and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 55, along with being a Charter Member of SAL, Sons of American Legion Post 55. He was a past West TN Vice Commander and 9th District Commander. Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Mike was of the Church of Christ faith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Darrel M. Wright and June Vaughan Wright.
