Nathaniel Skinner

Nathaniel Skinner “Nay” departed this life on July 18, 2025. Nay was the oldest child to the late Mitchell and Novella Skinner of Bradford,TN. Nathaniel was a member at St Luke M.B. Church in Greenfield, TN, where he served as a Deacon. He worked for Murray Guard for many years until his health failed him. 

His wife Shirley Skinner of 35 years whom he loved dearly proceeds him in death.

Nathaniel loved spending time with his family, he was for sure the “life of the party.”

He is survived by his kids: Stephanie Miller(Joe), Sherry Skinner, Neal Skinner(Joyce), Billy Skinner(Lailanie), Shelia King and Steven King. 
5 siblings: Dean Jackson, Ed Skinner, Billy Skinner(Neva) all of Greenfield, TN. Leonard Skinner(Rose) and Faye Shane both of Lansing MI.  A very special friend more so a brother Archie”Rock”Scates. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two children, Malcolm and Angela Skinner and 2 brothers, James and Gerald Skinner and 1 sister Rosie Mitchell.

Funeral Service for Mr. Skinner will be held Saturday July 26, 2025 at 12 noon at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 11 a.m. and go until time of his service.
