Patricia A (Dunn) Williams

Funeral Services for Patricia Ann Williams, age 88 of Greenfield, will be held Tuesday September 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will begin Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and go until time of her service.

Mrs. Williams was born Patricia Ann Dunn on June 30, 1936 in Gleason, TN.  She and her family moved to Greenfield in the mid 1940's .  She attended Greenfield Schools and graduated in 1954.  After graduation, she briefly attended UTM and then started her career at the Greenfield Style Shop.  On October 20, 1957, at the Greenfield Church of Christ, she married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Williams.  In 1961, their daughter, Nan, was born and then their son, Chris followed in 1964.  In 1967, she and Jimmy embarked on a new career together and started the Dairy Queen in Greenfield. Mrs. Williams also supported and helped Jimmy at the funeral home and together they created a wonderful life together for almost 60 years.  Patricia was truly a devoted wife, mother, and friend throughout all the many different adventures in her life but most of all a faithful Christian.  

She leaves behind her daughter, Nan(Jay) Satterfield of Milan, TN, and son, Christopher James Williams of Greenfield, TN.  She leaves her beloved grandchildren, Janon Satterfield, Baker (Samantha) Williams, Keely Elizabeth Williams, Caleb (Malarie) Satterfield, and Christopher Haden Williams.  She adored her 6 great-grandchildren, Samuel Benton and Shelbie Brooke Satterfield, Cy Baker, Presley Jo, and Chevy Williams and Robert Jay Cagle.  She also leaves a sister, Virginia Ail Capps and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James(Jimmy) Benton Williams, parents, Lawrence and Bernice Monroe Dunn, a sister, Peggy Page, and two brothers-in-law, Gene Page and Don Capps.
