Robert W. Archie
May 21, 1940 – May 18, 2025
Robert W. Archie, 84, of Greenfield, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 21, 1940, to the late James Elzie and Rhoda Moriah Archie, Robert was the youngest of three brothers. He grew up in the Liberty community and attended Liberty Country School before graduating from Greenfield High School.
In July of 1967, Robert met the love of his life, Ginger, at the city park. With characteristic confidence and charm, he told her, “Hey, I’m going to marry you”—and by September, they were husband and wife. They shared 57 devoted years together, building a life grounded in faith, family, and love.
Robert was a skilled concrete finisher, learning the trade at a young age from his father and brother Charles. He later passed on that legacy by entrusting the family business, Archie’s Concrete, to his sons.
A man of deep faith, Robert served as the preacher of Northwestern Baptist Church in Martin, TN for six and a half years. He was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield and never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those around him.
Robert loved the outdoors, especially tending to his garden—tilling, hoeing, and growing just about anything during the summer months. He also found peace and joy in fishing and was always happiest when surrounded by nature and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ginger; his children: Bradley (Cristy), Robin (Charles), and Alan (Kila); his cherished grandchildren: Alle (Payton), Carly (Tony), Levi, Ginny, Brady, and Alik; and one great-grandson, Banks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, Charles Archie, Floyd “Buck” Archie, and Paul Dean Archie; and his precious great-granddaughter, Eliza Kay Robinson.
Bro. Mark Warren and Bro. Brent Arnold will officiate the services. Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield, TN beginning Wednesday, May 21st at 12 noon with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Cox Cemetery in Greenfield, TN.
Robert’s life was a testament to faith, hard work, and love for family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Heaven’s Cradle in memory of Eliza Kay Robinson.
