Rosie Mitchell

Services for Rosie Mitchell will be September 1, 2023 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. in Kenton, TN. Her burial will follow in West Side Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 12 noon and go until time of her funeral.

Rosie Mai Mitchell was born on May 31,1940 to the late Mitchell and Novella Skinner. She departed this earthly life on August 25, 2023. She graduated from Rosend Highschool in Trenton, TN.

She was married to the late John Lee Mitchell for 56 years and they raised four children as their own.

She leaves to cherish three sons; Micheal Pitts, Stacy Pitts(Kalesia), and Marshall Pitts(Tracella). She has two sisters; Helen Jackson and Julia Shane. Four brothers; Nathaniel Skinner(Shirley),  Leonard Skinner(Rose), Robert Skinner(Sandra), Billy Skinner(Neva), and two sister in laws; Willie and Sara Skinner. And a host of nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by a daughter; Tracy Pitts and two brothers; Gerald and James Skinner. She was a faithful member of St. Paul M.B. Church in Kenton, TN. until she moved to Greenfield and then she attended Johnson Tabernacle Church until she fell ill.
