In the early hours of Sunday, February 8, 2026, William Raymond Roberts Jr. of Sharon Tennessee, went to be with the Lord. He was born April 28, 1936 in Memphis, to the late William Raymond Roberts Sr. and Elsie Mae Foshee Roberts. He spent much of childhood living with his paternal grandparents on their farm in Sharon. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1954 and then attended the university of Tennessee at Martin earning a degree in agriculture. He served two years in the United States Army and was stationed in West Germany. He met and married the love of his life, Wilma Rubison in 1964. They settled in central Arkansas and raised a family of three children. He worked as a veterinary pharmaceuticals sales representative for most of his career. Upon retirement, it was his desire to move back Sharon Tennessee. Ray was an avid football fan and especially enjoyed Arkansas Razorback games. He also loved working in his garden, working with old tractors and farm equipment, and spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of the Weakley County Church of Christ in Dresden. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; three children, Michelle Prewitt of Sharon, Tracy(Russell) McAnally of Sharon, and John(Kim) Roberts also of Sharon; 13 grandchildren, Zach Orten, Austin McAnally, Abbey(Alex) Shaw, Emma(Lucas) Wallace, Julia Prewitt, Jackson, Roberts, Sean Roberts, Lily Roberts, Eden Roberts, Cedar Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Moses Roberts, and Seraphine Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, at the Williams funeral home in Greenfield. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon. Visitation will begin Thursday morning at 10 am and go until time of his service at the funeral home.
